Sport qualification:

Sporting Qual - ASA Level 2 Swimming Coach and ex ASA swim teacher.

Coaching experience:  

Head/development swim coach at Hinckley swimming club 2012/13, before moving to this area. I have been with Grantham for a couple of years.

Sport experience: 

Swimming - Lincolnshire County record holder for 200 breaststroke in 1988. Ex county champion on various strokes and disciplines. Ranked number 2 for my age in Great Britain in 1991 for the 200m Breaststroke. National finalist in 1991. I also won the top boy award at the 1991 international Offenbach (Germany) open meet.
I have also had the pleasure of training with a number of Olympic swimmers including Paul Palmer, Tracy Atkin, Mark Spackman and Simon Wainwright. This was with my time under the coaching of Ian Turner an ex England swim Coach.

A sport hero and why:

Nick Gillingham - he was who I looked up to throughout my swimming career as he was the best 200m breaststroker around. I also got to compete against him!

Tell us one random interesting fact about yourself:

I have been a fire-fighter for nearly 20 years and have also sang Karaoke with Daniel Radcliffe AKA Harry Potter.
