SwimMark (previously known as Swim21) is the new accreditation scheme from Swim England.
After many months of hard work, by your committee and a few parents, we are pleased to announce that Grantham Swimming Club has been accredited for 2017/18.

What is SwimMark about?

Creating the best possible swimming experience for all
Raising the quality of aquatics provision across all areas
National Sport England Clubmark recognition for great quality clubs

Freya Colbert swam a superb 50 backstroke (a new county record and the fastest time in Britain) and also set a new club record in 400 IM (5 seconds PB) which secured her lead in the Birtish ranking.

Still so early in the season but records are getting broken. Grace Turner swam under 40 seconds in 50 butterfly claiming first place in her race, a new club record and unofficially the fastest time in the county this year.

Very early in the season and some swimmers already show an improvement in their times. It is all done by improved skills.

This was the first gala of the season and nobody really expected to see a great improvement. However out of 9 swimmers Iona Colbert swam well in 100 backstroke achieving a new club record.

Great fun had by all who took part today, at the GSC Treasure Hunt 2017.

Starting from the Meres at 2pm this afternoon, dodging a few showers and a thunderstorm, following the clues and uploading photos as they went, competitors completed the tasks - collecting points along the way.

The Grantham Swimming Club Hall of Fame was established to recognise the outstanding achievements of swimmers from our club. It has been updated after 2017 British and English National Championships. Congratulation swimmers you make the club proud!

The final day of the club champs was fast again. Swimmers were chasing County times and there are already 55 swimmers qualified for Counties while we had 44 swimming last year! Well done swimmers!

Voluntary role - Louth swimming Club

Sophie Culpin, ASA Nationals medallist, British Championship finalist, multi county and club records holder will be leaving Grantham after the summer break to start university.

For many swimmers it was the first time they have competed in a long course gala.Coventry appeared to be a fast pool for our swimmers. Joshua Clarke broke the 100m and 200m freestyle club records

Grace Turner was the only swimmer to travel to Sheffield; with strong support from her sister in the stands, Grace achieved some valuable times

The water in the pool was surely too tropical for fast swimming but still swimmers delivered their best performances.

Due to technical issues poolside, I was unable to provide live results, but the pages are now up to date.
